Dying Easter Eggs- a Week after

This is Ashton and Cami (our neighbor) whom Ashton adores and loves to play with. They are dying Easter Eggs -only a week late oh well. I decided to play the emphasis on Christ and we didnt do an Easter Basket you wake up to. Just hunted for a few eggs at Elis parents. I finally did buy an Easter Sweater and since I waited it was on sale. What happened was it came too early and I just was not feeling like commericalizing the event, I was raised the emphasis is on Christ so I just dont get excited about it and the Easter bunny did not come to my house so if you ask the Easter bunny did not come see Ashton.
Before I put the cookie sheet out is put the cups on paper towels and figured that is ok, well when you have a 2 1/2 year old that has never dyed eggs, he tips the cup to see and put his eggs in and you end up with a mess, the best part was it was the yellow dye so it looked like we had pee all over oh well, that is when I decided to get the cookie sheet. Maybe next year I will remember.
The amazement of what happens to the egg
Wow it came out yellow, I am made of magic.
Ashton could not balance the egg and look up the egg would fall when he didnt look at it. Maybe next year, and hopefully it is warm enough to dye outside. Oh well Easter is about dying eggs and making a mess.

ITS A BOY

Well we found out it is another boy on Monday March 24, 2008. Everything looked good on the ultrasound, it has all its body parts, and looks healthy. At first the little guy didnt want to let us know, he was sitting down and crosslegged and then the cord was between the legs. So the tech said we would look later after she looked for the things she needed to then he placed a hand over his pp, and then two hands, and crossed his legs, so we thought we were going to be leaving with out knowing what the sex was to be then we saw the dangle for a few brief seconds and then the hands covered it up. Then the doctor came in to look and everything was ok, and she saw it briefly and then the hands covered it up. Ashton was a free spirit and proud to show off his body. This boy has been active and I have felt him move since 10 weeks. The due date is right on target for August 22nd.

Update of Events

Last week we went to petco and bought "blue" the beta which is a fish. Ashton kept sticking his finger into the container (it had a hole on top) and shaking it, luckily we made it home and it has lived for a week. It may not seem like much but when the owner likes to feed his fish human food, beads, and what ever he spies it is a long life.
Asthons friend Kami came over to play, and the played with play dough, and frosted sugar cookies.
Ashton's cousin Ethan came down for a play date and we went to the Discovery Gateway which is a kids museum and they had a blast
Ethan and Ashton wrestling on the bed.
Ashton's play creation from art class.
When Ashton is ready to go outside he thought he had to wear his hat, goggles, and diaper and his coat in hand, He would say "ready" and we would ask where are your socks and shoes, shirt, pants, gloves, he would reply "lets go" OK but it is cold and lots of snow. He is very determined that is all you wear and it is time to go outside, so i let him out on the patio and he came back inside in a couple of seconds.
Welcome home at the SLC airport for Elis parents, this is Kathy his mom and cousins sadie and boston on the left.
Coming home from church ashton has his pants off in the car with his shoes and socks and was too tired to climb the stairs.
This is blue with ashton what a happy child his first beta, the gold fish died within a few days last year so why not try again they reproduce quick and we can always get more.

We went to visit my sister in Rexburg, ID and to see the temple open house and this was the choice of clothing for ashton had, camera bag-his purse, and fishing pole
Dunk, in reverse style. Do you see me?
A huge storm halted work so we went to the Gateway museum for kids, here we learned how to operate the crane.
Rexburg Temple, burr it was really cold.
What a cute kid, we just need to work on a smile not bad considering the other faces he pulled.

Pace Update

Well, we find out what we are having next Monday March 24th. Ashton has been working on language development, it is frustrating when people ask why doesn't your child speak much, if I knew don't you think we would have a solution. Anyway, he has speech once a week, sometimes it is more like a argument session when he wants to do something else. He does like his art class that is once a week. Last week we painted 3 coffee filters and then let them dry and connected them with a pipe cleaner and threaded that through a straw then decorated the pot and filled it with soil and some seeds. Art class is more for me sometimes because ashton id not always interested or just wants to go outside to play. We went to the pet store and bought a fish for Ashton last Thursday. He loved seeing the animals and would say their name and we bought a beta fish is named blue, his color and easy to say. He enjoys feeding blue and so far he is still alive--fish the simple answer to having a pet when you aren't suppose to have pets in a rental. And you don't have to walk it, feed it much, or have shedding hair, and the poop is contained in the bowl. Anyway will download photos later. The first day of the fish ashton wanted to take it outside for a walk and take him out of the container and kept poking it and feeding it anything he could fine so to have him still alive is amazing.

More Milk Please

Oh The boys are happy when they get their milk. Kenny my brother wanted a picture with both boys however that doesnt always work when one is not willing to share a lap with someone else. They do look cute in matching bibs.

We spent Christmas in Oregon this year with Andreas parents. Ashton has a cousin that is 4 days younger named Tevan. He came over to play and they both climbed on the couch to take a bottle break.

Dont mess with me I am busy driving my bike

Ashton has a tricycle/bike that he loves to ride inside the house. He will go round and round the island untill you think he would get dizzy and fall off but it doesn't happen. One day he decided that the bike runs better with plastic bags on the handle. So with his bag on the back and his horse in the basket they go for rides -round and round.
