Wreath & Christmas Tree Hunting

So my sister Toni, and I and the boys left to go get a tree, you know cut a real one down, traditions.  Or trying to do something like that.  We left Rexburg, ID.  It was getting more foggy as we left and the snow drifts were gettng bigger, 4- 6 feet and larger from a previous snow storm.  So we went where she had gone the week before and it was not passable.  So we headed to Kelley Canyon.  The road was ok then past the ski hill it was not plowed.  We made it to where we have parked before and she trie to back up and turn around, more difficult.  However in the parking lot were 3 pickups, their snowmobiles, and their freshly cut trees.  So we left more determined to get trees.  After debating we stopped in the road ok the two tracks left in the snow and she left to go and cut the trees.  Yes, we did have 2 tags that we bought a Valley Wide.  So after waiting I went to see if she needed help. The snow was waist high, so it made moving hard, I grabbed one tree and began to head back.  The 3 cars we saw earlier were behind us, we blocked the road.  I threw the 1st tree in.  The guys were standing with their arms crossed in front of 1 pickup one guy asked "do you have tags"? I said yes, and left to get the other tree.  I grabed the other tree and threw it in the back and we got in to leave and as we were pulling away I heard a thump, and look in my mirror, a guy is approaching the pickup.  So I open the door and say "yes, what do you want?"  He says I am Idaho State Police, where are you tags and shows is id.  We showed him the tags and left.

Driving to our destination.

A. chilling in the car.

This is the road that Toni wanted to go up but it was blocked by all the snow.

This reminded me of the movie "New in Town"when the lady takes a picture of renee z. when going to look at the rental property.

My wreath, the one I made with Toni is much better. I cant get that to load so this will suffice.

Ok, so A. was not in a carseat.  The boys were left alone but I could see them while getting the trees, and we didn't properly tag the trees.  So on the way back we cut juniper and sage brush to add to the pine to make a wreath.

Thanksgiving Snowball fight & Sledding 2010 Oregon

For Thanksgiving we went to Oregon to see my parents.  With the awesome
snow storm the kids wanted to play outside.  Spencer invited his friends out and they brought their
sisters A.'s age to have a snowball fight.

I was taking pictures through the widow so I could keep c. inside and not get blasted in the face.

 C. wanted to play but no gloves could be found so socks worked.  Jumping in the snow.
Sledding.  We hooked a sled up to the back of the Kubota.  With everone riding sled and Kubota they left.

Thanksgiving Picture

Thanksgiving pictures awesome only word to describe, if you have seen "What happens in Vegas" you get the meaning.  I does not mean was awesome really implies it means disaster happened.  I asked for a picture of the grandkids, I actually meant just them but my mom sat down, then finally my dad came so I let them stay, trying to be nice, why create a mess.  I didn't really care, I know how to get ride of people in pictures, but I decided to leave them to show their grandkids.

Not everyone was always looking or wanted to smile, this was the best of more than several pictures. Which is fine it shows them in their true colors.

Thanksgiving 2010 Oregon

For Thanksgiving, I drove in a terrible storm which the shutdown the freeways, I left Rexburg around 1030 am and arrived in Utah after stopping for a few minutes around 6pm. Awesome should only take 3 1/2 hours.  Anyway then we were going to stay but left to go to Oregon and had more awesome roads.  We eventually arrived.  Then had good food the next day.  Here are pictures.

Visiting with Grandpa Pace

C. loves to visit Grandma & Grandpa Pace.  He usually runs in a gives Grandpa a hug.  Then he goes downstaris to get toys and bring them in the room Grandpa is in.

Funny note they thought this was a cute and it was, by the time I grabbed them camera from the car and came back in they were super hot, the fire was only and high.  So they didn't want to stay long.

Snowman ok, Iron man and T. Rex

file://it/ snowed and the boys wanted to build something.  So I helped them make a snowman, which was an ironman snowman.  We went to the garden to grab things that we didn't pick since it snowed early.  Anyway we had a small sunflower that helped make it an ironman snowman.

C. so excited to be outside with goves, you know it as gloves.

Going for a walk in the snow.

I know the iron man snowman is so cute, and brave until you look over his shoulder and see a T. Rex, that is what A. wanted to make.  He has broccoli for arms and is getting ready to eat the ironman.  I told him I would take a spray bottle and add green food coloring to it and spray T. Rex.  However, we then got a huge storm in that drifted 3 feet of snow on top of the creations.  Oh well next time.
Proud builders.

Thanksgiving Tom the Turkey

file://a/. colored this turkey in school.  He was so proud of this picture, he put it on the freezer and then grabbed my camer and took a picture.

Snorkeling on dry ground

A. loves to wear goggles and have a snorkel.  Not sure where he came up with this idea but he loves it.  The other day he put the gear on and was playing that he was swimming.  Then he just plays wearing his gear.  So the C. wanted to wear the devise.  Then they both wanted their pictures taken.  A. started wearing these about 2 years ago maybe more.  He found some adult goggles that are used for snorkeling but he struggled to breathe so we hid those- it covered his nose and mouth.

Eating Big Salad

A. wanted me to take a picture of him eating salad.  He had a little corn on the side but mainly salad, I don't see any cucumbers or anything that was in the salad he probably already ate them before I could take his picture with his big salad as he calls it, "Mom I am eating my big salad, take my picture".

C. eating his salad. Silly kids.  They love salad espically with dip --a.k.a. ranch.

New Church Clothes

My mom got the boys some cute church clothes and my brother Ken brought them up when he was checking out BYU-I.   C. loved the tie.

The boys together.  Yes, I know the tie should be inside the vest but A. insisted that "kids wear it on the outside".  So I didn't care.  It was a battle getting him in the clothes.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother to take pictures or try and get them to look nice.  Then this last Sunday I had A. wear something else, no way he wanted to wear his fancy clothes.  And asked why isn't C. in his.  Picky kids.

Nursery Ryhmes Recital November 2010

A's. kindergarten class learned over 20 nursery rhymes and then the had a recital.  A. was in the choir.
He was looking around everywhere, we were late.  Once we got their he was all smiles.  After the recital he would sing nursery rhyme songs, I never heard him sing them before.  It appeared every ones parents, siblings, grandparents and friends showed up.  Toni came with us.  It was amazing the long parts some of the kids memorized.
 A. is on the left side 3rd row up. Smiling.
