Catch up

So it seems that I am just slow to post anything. I have taken alot of photos which will be aired later. For Thanksgiving my Aunt Mick, Mom, Dad, and Ken came up. They stayed in a Hotel Wednesday night, Thursday night and left early Friday morning. The boys loved it, my parent's hotel they resided in had a huge pool that the boys loved. They swam for several hours Wednesday night and then over three hours Thursday night.

For Thanksgiving dinner we ate the usually food except for sweet potatoes, yams, giblet gravey, etc. For dessert we had 4 pies chocolate frozen one, chocolate pudding, lemon mereinge, and razzel berry. She were all good, we all had little slivers of each, better to have a little of each.  Then after we ate, cleaned up and then looked at maps we left to check out the civil defense caves. We drove to see the caves and then got in, and it was crazy pitch black, we had flash lights, and you could see cracks in the ceiling above us and the floor was rippled and rough. We saw frozen ice balls that looked like snow globes. It was awesome and weird when you see all of the large boulders on the ground, you begin to think will the cold weather make the rock around you crack and fall. Then you forget what you are thinking about and begin on to see what is around the corner. Then my child C. decides that he wants the flashlight and you run into the rocks on the ground and trip. Kids.

I dropped out of school I realized that it was too much working, going to school, and trying to raise kids while Eli is in his 2nd internship.  He finished that internship. So now he watches the boys, they dont like daycare, A. says mom I just can't do it today, meaning daycare. We have done some fun classes with fun experiments. I think I will start sharing what we do, with the ideas so you can also do some fun things with your family, or relatives.

Some fun classes are crayon art, wacky lemon science, world safari, etc. I love the Crayon Art. They peeled crayons, broke them and placed them in silicone molds and cooked them at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes, then cool and they pop out of the molds in shapes of a circle, gingerbreadmen and snowmen.

I just watched 60 minutes and the homeless and families living in cars and it made me grateful for the small place we have that is out of the elements and not in a car.

My job has opened my eyes to many things. I enjoy it and love watching kids grasp a concept and have fun while learning.

So many Changes

Well, I realized how behind I am. So this is a fast update with out photos. We have done alot since the last post of which I have forgot unless I snapped a photo. So in a whirlwind this is what has happened. In June my brother got married in Boise, Idaho. My youngest brother got his mission call to Belin, Brazil. I went to Oregon for a couple weeks in August. Eli got an internship with DePatco which is in St. Anthony, Idaho. We went camping for Labor Day Weekend at Jackass Flats- rode 4-wheelers, picked huckleberries or hunkleberries as the kids say, they shot guns, etc. The boys and Eli have helped haul hay a couple of times. A. catches grasshoppers and then carrries them around on his arm as his pet. C. steps on them and kills them. We have grown a garden and have been eating the delicious food. I got into BYUI and have been sorting out what to do, trying to get a TESOL endorsement. Have changed my schedule alot now. Now to get a class added. C. is going to start preschool soon at BYUI. A. started school August 24. The boys have had birthdays. I gave my 2 weeks notice because I got a different job being an afterschool program coordinator at a local elementary school. So that is it for a quick version.

A's Art Work School & Home

So in order to capture on film and not have to save all school work
I take pictures and then eventually I will make a digital book, granted
this may be many moons considering I am really behind on these posts.

Exploring Eastern Idaho

I know these look a little differet but I was changing it up and doing color accent to have the orange pop. Go figure sometime when you are waiting for coyotes you get bored and you play with whatever is in your hand. That happened to be the camera.
You are probably wondering what this is. Well, these photos are of rocks. We went out the end of
March with Eli to look for coyotes and sage grouse. We saw the sage grouse and rock and mice.
I loved the colors and the over all look of these rock with the likens growing on them.

How the boys play

How toys are being found. The boys love animals, and dinosaurs.
A. loves to collect little animals and gets them from the treasure box
at school. So then I find animals lined up, and they are lined up under the table, chairs, bed, etc.

Then I tried to move a chair by the table and it would not move, so I looked under the table and
found this. Seeds, popcorn maids placed in the squares again, response,
"Mom I planed my garden", oh was my reply, it needs dirts, "No it does not"
And then I saw everything was tied up.

So C. doesn't feel left out I take him to story hour with A. and say it is his school. So he takes his hat,
backpack, and A's cowboy boots.

Someone got caught taking my popcorn.

Sage Grouse- East of Beaver Dick Park around Rexburg Idaho

So we went looking for sage grouse found them. On the way back I pulled over to a nature preserve. We saw several other birds, hawks, ducks, geese, swans, Canada goose and their nests, porcupine. Watch the video of the sage grouse.

Trip in March to Oregon

The boys and I went to Oregon with my sister Toni & Ken. We left thinking it would be
warmer than Rexburg, but ran into a snow storm outside of Mountain Home and all the way to Boise.
The boys had to have their cowboy hats and shades.

C. has realized he can maliulate his lips when he is mad.

A. hanging out with his gun ready to shoot anything that moves.

The stormy road.

It was my sister in laws birthday so we had a dinner at the house. Aunt Mary & Aunt Mick
came to visit. Aunt Mary with Tanner.

Aunt Mary holding Tanner and Toni.

Toni, Tanner, Aunt Mary & Aunt Mick.

So when we get together I don't know why, we always stand by each other
and strut our stuff, seeing who has the largest rack. Traditions.

Getting the boys to eat. A. Grandma, Tevan, & C.

C. giving a big cheese.
As he likes to say
"Look at Me Mommmm, Look at Me Mommm"

Spencer & Genniel

C's cowboy meets school look.

Kids say cheese, C. says bum bum

I don't remember why maybe to spare the cake from spit, the
roll was used as the practice blowing object.

The spit catcher.

So I went with Spencer to feed cows and nobody wanted to come, which was nice.
Nice because was wet and we got stuck nad none of us brought a cell phone. So we
walked home. And then my dad woke up and did not see us, and left
to go feed cows, saw the truck was gone and then at the field saw no one was
around and paniced. The should have thought we talked to him before he left.

I love the coloring of this calf.

So going home we went the Arco way. Shooting through mountain home. We hit snow, they had plowed the roads but we still had snow all over.

Bringing home the jeep, and I messed with the color accent option.

"Majestic"

"And More Snow"
