Food Everyone must eat right

Ok, So since it is fall almost winter and it makes me want to bake, I think because it heats the house and lets face it I like to eat things that taste good. And I have a cousin who I saw posts recipes on the side of her blog, pam, and it made me think what a good Idea to share so I am on the band wagon. So share people. Sometimes I sit in the morning and think what sounds good then forget and before I know it it is dinner and we are not having what could be an awesome meal. I even call and ask people what they are having to get inspired and same thing "I dont know" And I know everyone out there has at least one good recipe and many more so lets help each other out. So that is why I decided to have my first post be the turkey enchalidas since it was just thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving

I know these events are so exciting you wont be able to contain yourself.

1st we woke up, AT 6AM DUMB BODY, you don't need to get up on a holiday. OK a little baby woke me up then I could not got back to bed bad baby.

2nd We watched TV, ate something I know it was such a great breakfast, Oh Ashton made waffles for him and Eli, I think I had chocolate chip cookie dough, got to start the holidays off right.

3rd Eli left to go play football with some guys in our church. But first they had to go get cinnabon cinnamon rolls, where do they sell those they airport. So they tried calling them and the phone would go to an answering machine then so Eli kept calling the information and they gave them the same number so they called the lady back and she went down to the cinnamon place and told them they needed to bring the cinnamon rolls down. A lot of trouble and high cost for 20 cinnamon rolls. I did not eat a cinnamon roll I knew not everyone would need one and I did not need a sugar rush that early.

4th we walked home, showered, grabbed the frozen rolls that were trying to unthaw, sugar cookie dough and stuff for frosting, kids and left for wanship to spend thanksgiving with Eli's parents.

5th waited for rolls to un-thaw good thing they have a fire place.

6th ate

7th watched a movie eli wanted to watch about Antarctica

8th fell asleep

9th ate some pecan pie, Eli had pumpkin Ashton ate the crust

10th chatted

11th Eli's grandparent came over to see the baby good thing we had kids so they stop by

12th drove back to slc in the dark, luckily we saw and hit no deer

13th unloaded all the stuff from the car into the house

14th began to read the greatest generation

15th put kids to bed, baby woke up, put back to bed then Ashton fell asleep and I went to watch television and fell asleep

I know real exciting, but hey at got a nap which I never take I think I was tired from waking up early and having a baby makes you tired when your sleep pattern is disturbed.

Sunday Pictures

Before Toni left I wanted her to take a picture. Eli hates these but we were all dressed sort of. Ashton has just gone to the bathroom and only had a shirt on that is why the picture is a head shot of the family. Eli likes outside pictures and so do I but, it was cold and some one was only wearing a shirt. So we stood in front of the curtains, because he did not want the cabinets behind us, nice job Toni =Ashton is almost smiling.
While downloading my weekends pictures I found this, you take pictures of yourself I post, ha ha
Cute aunt Toni with the baby. oh precious

Bath Time

We were trying to get ready for Sunday -make it on time to Elis cousins homecoming--ok we made it to hear the speakers not the start

Make a salad-thanks to toni it got made

get boys ready--toni helped give them baths and she styled ashtons hair. It starts off nice then ends up a mess.

Cameron having a bath, he was smiling in other pictures but he was also showing his goods so I decided to opt on that.

Arts and Crafts

Ok so we were up late making a craft and her is the big cheese herself.
The last time Toni came we were talking and she said she wanted me to show her how to make the magnets I have on my fridge. She wanted to make one for everyone at work. Well she switched from nights to days and that makes 82 people.
So we purchased the supplies, then worked Saturday night for several hours gluing the stickers and magnets the clear glass stones. Then Sunday we wrapped in cellophane and tied a sparkle green ribbon. After that I thought oh it would have been really cute to put a couple Hershey kisses with the magnet oh well they are wrapped. Now she just has to put a tag on them and place them in co-workers boxes.

Hiking Millcreek Canyon

Saturday we went up millcreek canyon. My new love since the road is closed to cars. Then I can take the double stroller. However, Ashton was a poop. He screamed and cried and would run back to the car when he was set down. SO I carried him and my sister and then he was belted into the stroller, thank you who ever decided to finally put 5 pt harnesses in stroller, I know you had a child like I do. Anyway so before Ashton was put in the stroller, he had thrown his view finder, drink, and golf club to the ground, and he would not keep his coat on. Yeah, do you see the snow on the ground. So my sister was sick of a screaming kid, a horrible ear pinching scream then he would try to vomit on whom ever was holding him, fun stuff I know you were wishing you were with us just a mile ahead or behind. Then my sister said "I will throw you into the creek if you dont stop screaming, well a minute before a lady past us on a bike and when she heard this she turned around while pedaling her bike and almost fell over, it was great. Then they watched us once they stopped to see what we were doing. Well the older people we saw who have had kids understood and would say hi and smile. Ms. biker was ready to call social service on us. Oh well, the best part was watching her almost fall off her bike.
The happy campers. Cameron slept through the screamer, look at ashtons eyes red, spit on the mouth, and see the buckle love the buckle.

Screaming kid, quiet, kid, toni helping push the stroller it was all up hill, beautiful picture of ice on the bushes with water priceless. Would I do it again, yes, with toni sure, with kids not sure.

Elis Birthday

Oh, cute. Toni and Ashton dancing during the birthday celebration.
Ready blow.
Ashton not sure his dad will get them out begins to blow. He loves the blow out the candles, and the people eating the cake better like a side of spit to go with their cake.
Oh the beautiful cake. Thanks to the cake doctor to help make a cake mix great.
I love family photos, then I actually get to be in the photo. Then the boys will realize later on when they look at the photos that yes they have a mom too. I dont always like how I look or how others look. Oh, everyone smile and say cheese and you see the result.

German Pancake

I know this is amazing, so I had to take a picture, I loved how it curled up and browned. And it is good to eat. The topping is so easy and good, it is apples with sugar and cinnamon. Yum. Ok, so we are pigs eli and myself at the entire thing except for a 3 by 3 square that was for ashton but he never ate his. Oh well more for us next time.

Ashton

Hi My name is Ashton. I am 3 years old. I attend preschool 2 days a week. I like to color on my body and paper, it is more fun to color on me. I Have blond hair and blue eyes. I am a very fast runner and enjoy running away from my mom in stores and watching her try to run after me and find me while I hide in racks of clothes or down other aisles. I enjoy fishing, hiking, hunting and doing anything my dad does. I love animated movies, newest love kung fu panda I take a little broom and put it down the back side of my shirt so I can use it for kung fu sticks. I poop in the pottie and pee in my pants. I love chocolate and juice. I can fill my own cup with water from the fridge, sometimes I fill it too much and make a mess. I love water and swimming with my toy shark in the tub, and splashing anyone who comes in. Pretty much I am king of my castle.

Cameron 3 Months

Time is going by quick. It seems like Cameron was just born. Well now he is 3 months old. He is finding his voice, tongue, and loves to suck in his bottom lip. Any chance he gets one or both hands are in his mouth. Yes, he has learned to be a self gagger. Oh well, such is life. He has blue eyes and his hair color depends on the light he is in it can appear to be light brown, blond, or have a hint of red.

Cameron loves to smile, and look around. The other day he rolled on his side then he must have decided been there done that because he has choose not to since.

Cameron loves milk, pacifier, bottles, quiet time from Ashton, and people paying attention. Not too demanding yet.

How to accomplish tasks

Ashton decided that when I put Cameron in this seat for a minute it has his and that he needed the tray on also. So when I want to get something done I put him in the seat, that way he will not get into what I am trying to do. Also his new love Captain Crunch Peanut Butter. This child is very picky on what he will eat. Amazingly he loves this cereal, about the only kind he will eat. Which is fine it keeps him occupied, he will fill up the cup area on the tray and line up all the little balls of cereal in a row, which takes some time and then he has to eat them.

OOPS

Well, I went with my neighbor and friend Sara to lunch and with my boys. We went to Paradise Bakery which I love the food, it is all really good. So Sara carried Cameron and I had Ashton. We were walking through the parking lot towards the bakery and I noticed a lady in a van and others in the area had strange looks on their face. Then I looked down at Ashton because he was walking slowly, and his pull up was to his ankles and his pants. So I was holding hands with a fully exposed little boy. Hint: if you see this and you dont know or do know the person let them know so they are not just walking around with a bare butt little guy or girl. Anyway Sara told me once we were inside the lady had a strange look, almost a glare then was laughing-yeah at the dysfunctional mother. HAHA Any way they pants would slide off and bring down the pull-up when we were inside, I think they are just big and he has lost a little belly. So those will be marked with a marker and only worn with a belt. At least it did not happen at preschool.

Clueless-the hand shake

Ok, so today we went to church early. I made a point to get everyone ready because I knew it was the primary program, when the kids do a program during church giving talks explaining what they learned for the year. So I am looking around since we were 15 minutes early and not many people were here yet. And a nice looking older man is sitting up front and I am thinking oh, a grandparent, but he looks familiar. Eli turns to me and says do your recognize that man, I saw nope, thinking why should I, is it a person we have vitisted before doing missionary work? He would not tell me until a 10 minutes later he said it was Elder Hales a leader in the LDS church. Well I thought Hales looked older. Then he sits on the stand and they introduce him it was

Elder Oaks. Eli was wrong but so was I. He looks 10 years younger than the picture of him they took with the other leaders. Any way I dont know why he attended. At the end of the meeting I was walking out of the asile to go and he shook my hand and asked how I was doing. I reaplied great. And I did think about not washing my hand but he did shake a lot of other peoples hands and I wanted to eat oh and I am a germ a phob. During the meeting ashton was loud and having fun. Ashton clapped and cheered when the meeting ended. The meeting lasted 15 minutes past the meeting. SO yeah lucky the kids on the stand were taking attention from my clapping kid and I did not want to look back and see who noticed because I could see out of the corner of my eye everyone saw. oh well life with a 3 year old.

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN

Or maybe it is just me. So I dressed up the kids ok, ashton always wears these clothes.
Better yet, because we only had to buy a bag since I threw out the plastic pumpkin because I used it for a barf bucket while I was prego with Cameron.
We had to take the binos, and gun to attend the trunk or treat.
And both kids sleep through dinner then Ashton woke up and would only eat chips, plain tortilla chips. Cameron slept from 5pm til 630 am the next morning.
So he never wore a costume and I left it at home.
The boys- as good as it gets when you have an uncooperative 3 yr old and a baby who cant sit up and a mom who could not get the picture to turn.

Saturday Hike-Millcreek Canyon

After the playing in leaves we decided to have some fun.
Since the weather was awesome we wanted to enjoy before it turned nasty
and it is nasty today. So we got diesel, and drove up the canyon.
I have never been up millcreek or never you could drive up, some canyons
dont have access and I thought this was one of them.
It was nice to get away from so many people, even though a lot were still up enjoying
nature.
Cameron and I, cameron did really good, happy and enjoyed it. He kept sucking on his hands ok fists. He can get one almost two in his mouth and yes gags himself. The joys
of not paying attention to where the hand went. I love the smell of trees and water. If I could bottle that smell I would, Eli said it was the smell of decaying leaves. I like to
think it is fall, fresh rain smell mixed with forrest smells.
"Come on Mom take the picture" and you know what I am
thinking "come on kid just smile for once"
Nice picture, notice the props and the cooperation of a smile. Doesnt happen.

Best picture of the boys,
yep hand in mouth ashton thinks it is funny
espically when baby gags. Not so funny if you are
holding him or get to clean up baby vomit.

FAll leaves

Saturday was a day of relazing. First Eli and Ashton played in the leaves. Good thing because we are in a blizzard right now (nov 5th) Ashton wont leave the house with out his essential items, gun, eyes(binos) --we did manage to leave the elephant and elk call which is an adaptor for an air mattress. We have an awesome tree by the drive way that is a maple and produces a lot of leaves
probably because we water the tree alot in the summer when we play with the hose.
When we went to Hawaii last year we brought back a boogie board. It is great the bottom is
slick and be pulled on grass and snow and is awesome.
Ashton loves to be pulled and thought it was great to be pulled in leaves
even though they would almost cover his head.
another trip around the tree

this is the best smile I got for the camera

Ok, Ashton did not always like leaves in the mouth or face,
can you blame him?

Ride over, Lets go, Ashton was made when the ride stopped.
