To prepare for Eli's big hunt he wanted to hike Mt. Baldy (12000 ft high). He ran up the thing and I hiked with Ashton in a pack. My brother Ken and John came too. Ken found a geo-cash on the mountain. Eli spotted some mountain goats and we saw them too. We hike throuh a snow drift. Luckily John was there I started to fall and he grabbed the backpack and helped me up. We were tired and stopped and were ready to turn back, when Eli came to where we stopped and said come on you have to see these goats before other hikers scare them away. So we started hking again and it seemed like we would never make it to the top. I thought it was steep. Eventually we did make it. Ken carried a golf club and some balls and the boys hit balls off the top of the mountain.

After climbing the mountain Eli decided he had more energy and that we needed to come hike to some other lakes, luckily the hike to those was flatter. Ashton playing with some grass.
